MLS pundit Calen Carr has shared how Sergio Busquets reacted after being sent off in Inter Miami’s 6-1 loss to FC Cincinnati.
The iconic Spanish midfielder was dismissed for a second bookable offence after arguing with the referee, with Busquets leaving the pitch as Inter Miami went on to endure their worst loss ever in MLS history.
Losing ground in the Supporters’ Shield race, the defeat at the West End Stadium could have huge implications for Inter Miami and their bid for the MLS title, with the fixture list not easing up at all for the Herons in the weeks to come.
And former MLS star Carr has now provided how Busquets was feeling after being sent off.

Busquets ‘not happy’ as Inter Miami plot Cincinnati revenge
Speaking on MLS Wrap-Up, Carr noted how Busquets was ‘not happy’ after leaving the pitch, with the pundit noting that Inter Miami will be out for revenge when the two sides meet later on in the season at Chase Stadium.
Inter Miami’s disciplinary issues have been a major problem this year, with the Herons recently having two players sent off in their dramatic 2-1 win against the Philadelphia Union, with Jordi Alba also seeing red earlier in the season in the CONCACAF Champions Cup.
And Busquets has now joined the growing list of Inter Miami players this year to be sent off, with Carr noting that the midfielder looked angry when leaving the pitch, with the Herons doomed for a record-breaking defeat.
Carr said on Inter Miami’s loss to Cincinnati: “Cincinnati circled that game and smelt blood for that one and put it on them, but I’m sure those guys from Inter Miami are going to come back with a vengeance, Sergio Busquets was not happy leaving the pitch in that game.”

Busquets had to show leadership and strength in Cincinnati loss
Busquets is one of the most experienced players in MLS and knows when and where to pick his battles with opponents and the officials, and the midfielder simply did not show that in Ohio on Saturday.
With no Lionel Messi or Luis Suarez, Busquets has been the defacto leader of Inter Miami in what has been largely a successful run of form for the Herons, with four wins in five games a good record considering the absences.
Yet Busquets got it all wrong against Cincinnati, who showed their quality and embarrassed the veteran midfielder in a way that few have seen this season, and the 35-year-old will want to be back with a vengeance when his suspension is up.
