Inter Miami have now been told that a player in his first year on an MLS roster is now helping Sergio Busquets big time this summer.
The Spanish midfielder has seen his role change in recent weeks, with Busquets now playing in central defense with Inter Miami once again struggling with injuries in the position, having already lost Nicolas Freire for the year.
Although Busquets was embarrassed in Inter Miami’s 6-1 loss to FC Cincinnati and dismissed, the 35-year-old looked much more composed in the Herons’ 2-1 win on the weekend against the Chicago Fire.
Yet Busquets’ form has seemingly been helped by an unlikely source.

Yannick Bright hailed as Inter Miami revelation amid Busquets change
Writing for MLS’s official website website, expert Matt Doyle highlighted just how impressive Yannick Bright has been in Busquets’ holding midfield role, allowing the Spanish legend to focus on being a center-back.
Doyle wrote on Busquets and Bright’s form in recent weeks: “Miami aren’t just surviving without Leo Messi, they’re thriving. This win marked six in seven since Messi last took the field in pink. It’s just an insane level of quality depth that other teams can’t match.
“Sergio Busquets was once again in central defense in this one, which left rookie Yannick Bright to anchor central midfield, and Bright was awesome. Bright’s never going to run the show the way Busquets does as a 6 (nobody in the world does), so Miami very happily change the way they play when Busquets’ on the backline and Bright’s in central midfield.
“They drop their block to find more transition chances, they are willing to give up the ball and let opponents disorganize themselves by taking risks.”

Herons might have found long-term Busquets successor in Bright
Busquets is one of the greatest players to ever play the game, with the midfielder’s influence in soccer as big as it comes in how the former FC Barcelona man shaped the position and the success that comes from it.
And in Bright, Inter Miami might have just stumbled upon their long-term successor for Busquets, with the midfielder thriving in the holding role and making a real impact in the starting XI for the Herons.
Moreover, with Federico Redondo set for a move to Europe in the next 18 months, Bright is someone Inter Miami can build the midfield around, with the 22-year-old en-route to becoming a real modern day legend in MLS.
