An FC Barcelona star’s entourage are now expecting transfer offers later this month after being linked with a move to Inter Miami.
The Herons are set for a big summer with the Florida franchise in the driving seat for the Supporters’ Shield, with Inter Miami also early favorites to retain their Leagues Cup title at the end of July.
With the transfer window soon opening, though, new signings are on the agenda for Inter Miami, with central defense an area the Herons are eager to recruit for after the season-ending injury to Nicolas Freire.
And an offer could soon be made to one out-of-contract Barcelona star.

Inter Miami-linked Sergi Roberto set for offers after Barcelona contract update
According to Mundo Deportivo, Sergi Roberto’s team are expecting offers later this month following Barcelona’s recent attempt to tie the club captain down to a new contract.
As per the report, Roberto’s entourage are far from pleased with what Barcelona have offered, and there’s now a growing chance that the Spanish international could be on his way out of Catalonia having spent his entire career with the La Liga giants.
With Inter Miami linked with a move for Roberto, there’s a good chance that the Herons could be one of the sides who make an offer to sign the versatile fullback, with the Florida franchise slowly becoming Barcelona’s MLS reunion party.
Indeed, with Roberto capable of playing at right-back and central midfield, it makes sense why Inter Miami could be a potential destination for the 32-year-old, though the Florida franchise have bigger issues at hand this summer than signing another Barcelona star.

Herons would be wise to hold off move for Roberto this summer
Roberto is certainly a player who could fit Inter Miami’s philosophy as Tata Martino continues to build a squad that could go down as one of the best MLS has ever seen.
Yet for this summer, the Herons would be wise to hold off for a move for Roberto given the pressing needs elsewhere in the squad, namely the addition or two of a new central defender.
With Inter Miami also stacked in central midfield and well stocked in the right-back position, a move for Roberto could make more sense in 2025 if the 32-year-old is still keen on a move to MLS, a prospect that could well happen.
