Jordi Alba has arguably been the least talked about of the four former FC Barcelona stars currently playing at Inter Miami, yet his impact has been just as big.
The defender recorded an incredible four assists in Inter Miami’s recent 4-3 Leagues Cup win against Toronto FC, booking the Herons’ ticket into the Round of 16 and setting-up a mouth-watering tie against the Columbus Crew.
With Tata Martino recently claiming that Alba plays more like a no. 10 than a left-back, the former Spanish international has taken to life in Florida like a duck to water, with the defender one of the best left-backs in MLS this year.
And Alba has now revealed how he feels about playing for Inter Miami and living in the United States.

Alba ‘very happy’ playing for Inter Miami this season
Speaking to the press, Alba shared that he is ‘very happy’ about playing for Inter Miami, with the Herons currently top of the MLS Supporters’ Shield standings and still the favorites to reclaim their Leagues Cup title.
With four goals and ten assists in all competitions for Inter Miami this season, Alba has been in top form for Martino’s side, with the defender’s performance against Toronto arguably his best yet in pink.
And it appears that Alba is happy with his new life in Florida, a sentiment that has been shared by the likes of Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets since making the move to the United States last summer.
Alba said on his career so far with Inter Miami: “I’m a player who likes to attack and distribute assists, I’ve done it all my life. I’m doing it again this year and I’m very happy for that contribution. Besides, I feel very happy with this team, very comfortable in Miami, with all the people. I’m very happy.”

Alba can be key in the Herons making history this summer
With 14 goal contributions in 26 games, Alba has quietly been a revelation of sorts for Inter Miami, with the defender proving to be a real outlet for big moments for the Florida giants.
And with a treble on the line, Inter Miami will be relying on Alba to turn up in the final months of the season of the Herons are to go all the way in Leagues Cup, the Supporters’ Shield and MLS Cup.
Indeed, the 35-year-old hasn’t missed a beat since swapping La Liga for MLS, and Alba will want to end the year in style for Inter Miami with three trophies on the line.
