As per Barcelona’s official website, club captain Sergi Roberto has left the Catalan giants after a ‘phenomenal’ 18 years at the club, making 373 appearances in all competitions and winning 20 trophies since making his first-team debut.
With Inter Miami interested in signing Roberto, there’s a real chance that the Herons could land the 11-cap Spanish international if they’re quick off the mark to land the versatile right-back.
Capable of playing in defense and in midfield, Roberto’s versatility could make him an outstanding addition to Martino’s squad heading into the final third of the season for Inter Miami.
Moreover, another Barcelona graduate would strengthen the Heron’s connection with the club, with Roberto a player who could thrive in Florida for Inter Miami.
