Inter Miami have been linked with a number of superstar names from Europe this summer, with Sergi Roberto one of the more reliably linked players.
The defender officially left FC Barcelona earlier this month with the fullback leaving his boyhood club to take on a new challenge in soccer, with Roberto quickly linked with a move to Inter Miami where the 32-year-old would reunite with Lionel Messi and company.
With Premier League clubs also interested in signing Roberto, though, Inter Miami were always going to struggle to bring in the former Spanish international, especially with the Herons’ payroll as stretched as it currently is.
And Roberto has now seemingly decided which team he is joining this summer having left Barcelona.

Roberto to snub Inter Miami to join Serie A side Como
According to Fabrizio Romano, Roberto is set to join newly-promoted Serie A side Como 1907, with Inter Miami expected to miss out on the former Barcelona captain despite strong speculation this summer.
Romano posted: “Cesc Fabregas, confident to get green light this week for three signings at final stages for Como. Sergi Roberto, free agent. Nico Páz from Real Madrid. Máximo Perrone from Man City. Here we go, soon.”
With Como already beating Inter Miami to Raphael Varane, the Italian side are proving to be quite the rival for the Herons in the transfer market, with the Serie A minnows looking to build a reputation for themselves upon their return to the top-flight.
And with Roberto heading to Como, Inter Miami will once again be back to the drawing board to examine who their next top target could be, with the Florida franchise missing out on two players this summer to the Italians.

Roberto could still end up joining the Herons later down the line
At 32-years-old, Roberto is reaching the twilight of his career after an incredible spell with Barcelona, where the defender won numerous domestic and continental titles with the Catalan giants.
Yet even with Inter Miami missing out on Roberto this summer, there’s still a chance that the right-back could end up joining the Florida franchise later down the line if this move to Como doesn’t work out.
As we know, the Herons signed Messi, Sergio Busquets and Luis Suarez all when they were over the age of 35, and Roberto could end up making the move to Chase Stadium if Italy isn’t what the defender was looking for.
