Yannick Bright has been one of the breakout stars at Inter Miami this season, with the youngster winning a spot in the starting XI alongside Lionel Messi and replacing Sergio Busquets in midfield.
The 22-year-old has established himself as Tata Martino’s preferred defensive midfielder with Busquets dropping down in central defense as a result, with Bright showing every week why he could be the future of Inter Miami’s squad.
A natural successor already for Busquets in this Inter Miami team, the Milan-born prospect has been a huge surprise for the Herons this season given how sudden Bright’s emergence has been this year in the midfield.
And Bright has now shared what he’s learning from the likes of Messi and Busquets in training.

Bright hails Inter Miami’s star players as ‘great mentors’
Speaking to the press, the 23-year-old revealed that he has been learning a lot from Messi and Busquets this season, as well as other superstar players in Inter Miami’s squad like Luis Suarez and Jordi Alba.
The Herons have established themselves as the best side in MLS this year with Tata Martino using the incredible options at his disposal to their full potential, with Inter Miami having a solution for seemingly every problem.
And players learning from the likes of Messi, Suarez and Alba has helped the squad greatly, with Bright clearly taking some good lessons from Busquets in the youngster’s quest to make the defensive midfield position his own.
Bright said on training with Messi and Busquets: “It’s great, you can learn a lot from them and they’re great mentors who the whole team benefits from. But it’s a team effort, it’s not only these four players, it’s the whole team contributing and hopefully everyone can do their part to help us win whenever we can.”

Messi and company are getting the best out of Inter Miami’s players
Inter Miami’s strength this season has come from the supporting cast reaching new levels that few would have anticipated, with the likes of Bright, Benjamin Cremaschi and Robert Taylor all hitting new heights since the arrival of Messi and company.
And with Inter Miami’s players training regularly with these superstar names, it’s no real surprise that the overall quality of the squad has increased dramatically in just a short space of time, with Bright one of the many players who has exceeded expectations in this team.
Even with Messi not featuring regularly this season, Inter Miami’s players have learned plenty from the Argentine great alongside Busquets, Suarez and Alba, and the Florida franchise are now better equipped that any side in MLS when it comes to taking on opponents and unlocking their potential.
