Paul Pogba has been rumored with a move to Inter Miami, with the Juventus midfielder set to become a free-agent heading into 2025.

The former France international is due to return to soccer after Pogba’s worldwide ban from the sport due to doping was reduced from four years to 18 months, meaning the former Manchester United man will be allowed to play again in March.

As a result of the decision, Juventus are working on releasing Pogba to allow the midfielder to move on from the Serie A side and to start a new chapter in his career, with Inter Miami a potential destination for the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner.

And Pogba already has an opinion on whether or not he wants to move to MLS next year.

According to TalkSport, Pogba is keen on joining the likes of Lionel Messi in the United States in MLS, with the 32-year-old midfielder eyeing a move to America once free from his Juventus contract.

As per the report, no MLS club is currently leading the race for the former Premier League superstar, yet Inter Miami and Los Angeles FC are two notable sides who could end up making moves for Pogba in 2025.

With Inter Miami having all three Designated Players spots filled, though, the Herons will have to buy down a contract if they’re to make up space for Pogba, who is unlikely to take a paycut to move to Florida.

Indeed, Pogba would be quite the signing for Inter Miami and another huge statement of intent from the Herons, who could be making plans as we speak to bring in the former France international as their next superstar addition.

Herons have to win the race to sign Pogba in 2025

Even with Pogba missing essentially two years of soccer due to injuries and this doping ban, the midfielder would still be a huge signing for MLS one year on from recruiting Messi to the league.

And heading into 2025, Inter Miami need to ensure they are the franchise who end up winning the race to sign Pogba, who could jump at the chance to play alongside the likes of Messi, Luis Suarez and Sergio Busquets.

Whilst the financial logistics will be a challenge, Inter Miami’s frontdesk are up for the task, especially after all the numerical gymnastics Herons’ officials have had to pull off in the last 12 months in building the current squad.
