Inter Miami have been no stranger to signing superstars since their MLS debut in 2020.
The Herons shocked the footballing world when they signed Lionel Messi in 2023, following the Argentine’s departure from Paris-Saint Germain.
Since then David Beckham has helped manoeuvre the signings of Jordi Alba, Sergio Busquets and Luis Suarez – a quartet of signings that helped Miami win the Supporters’ Shield in October 2024.
Despite having all of their designated player slots filled – Inter Miami are seemingly continuing on their quest to sign superstars, which has been shown by their persuit of Paul Pogba.

Paul Pogba training in Miami amid Juventus exit
Inter Miami have been heavily linked with Pogba over the past 12 months and the Herons were recently given a boost in their efforts to sign the ex-Manchester United man.
Pogba’s recent departure from Juventus has further added fuel to the rumours linking the Frenchman with a Miami move.
With the midfielder now without a club, journalist Ben Jaocbs has revealed that Pogba has been spotted training in Miami as he assesses his options ahead of his next move.
MLS rivals LAFC were reportedly favourites to sign Pogba, but these rumours will no doubt give Gerardo Martino’s side a huge boost in their efforts to sign the World Cup winner.
Pogba’s injury record may hamper possible Inter Miami move
When it comes to assessing whether Pogba would be a worthwhile signing for Inter Miami, there’s one factor that simply must be considered – and that’s injuries.
Since the Frenchman’s departure from Old Trafford in 2022, the midfielder has been plagued by persistent knocks.
Pogba’s patchy injury record mixed with his recent doping pan, could possibly suggest that Inter Miami may be wise to stay away from signing the former Juve man.
