Inter Miami are set for a big 2025, with a major signing potentially on the cards for Javier Mascherano’s side.

The Herons have been linked with a number of superstar players heading into the winter transfer window, with Neymar being mentioned as a potential target for Inter Miami as the Florida franchise look to reunite the Brazilian with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.

With Paul Pogba another player linked with Inter Miami, all signs seem to point towards the Supporters’ Shield winners making a big signing that could once again shake the foundations of MLS and cause some rival teams to sit up and think.

And Inter Miami have now been linked with another superstar player.

Inter Miami interested in Liverpool attacker Mohamed Salah

According to CaughtOffside, Inter Miami have joined the race to sign Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah, who is currently set to become a free-agent in 2025 with the forward’s contract expiring at the end of the Premier League season.

Hailed as ‘world-class’ by former Manchester United captain Roy Keane, Salah is rightfully regarded as one of the best attackers in soccer and arguably the best player in the world at the time of writing, with the winger already managing 12 goals and ten assists in all competitions for Liverpool.

With the Reds top of the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League because of Salah’s form, Inter Miami signing the Egyptian international would be quite the swoop for the Herons with Messi and Suarez already on their books.

And with Salah showing no sign of penning a new contract with Liverpool, there’s a real chance that Inter Miami could secure the 32-year-old superstar attacker’s signature ahead of rival competition, such as FC Barcelona.

Would Salah actually be the right fit for Inter Miami?

Salah is the in-form player in world soccer this season, with the forward already making 22 goal contributions for a Liverpool side who have their sights set on the Premier League and Champions League.

Yet when thinking about Salah moving to Inter Miami, there’s something about the winger making the switch that feels somewhat uncomfortable, mainly due to the fact that the Liverpool star plays the exact same position as Messi.

Moreover, with Inter Miami likely to make a big signing based on Messi’s recommendation, it’s unlikely that the Argentine will bring forward Salah’s name given that the forward has never played alongside the Liverpool star, a factor that could make a deal unlikely and unsuitable for the Herons.
