Inter Miami are set for an exciting January transfer window, with Lionel Messi and friends potentially being reunited with Neymar.
The Brazil international’s future is up in the air with reports suggesting that Al-Hilal want to sell Neymar in January, with Inter Miami emerging as an option for the former FC Barcelona superstar heading into 2025.
Although former club Santos appear to be the frontrunners for Neymar’s signature, Inter Miami are still in the race for the former PSG winger, who could be tempted to reunite with Messi and Luis Suarez in Florida for next season.
And Messi is now keen on Inter Miami signing a FIFA World Cup winner for the new campaign.

Messi wants to bring Franco Armani with him to Inter Miami
According to Pasion Futbol, Messi is keen to bring Argentina international and River Plate captain Franco Armani to Inter Miami, with the 38-year-old goalkeeper part of the national team that won the 2022 World Cup.
One of the most experienced goalkeepers in South America and once a regular fixture for Argentina, Armani is one of a handful of players with links to Messi that Inter Miami appear to be looking at signing heading into January.
As well as Neymar as per the report, Javier Mascherano is believed to be interested in signing Angel Di Maria, who helped Messi win the World Cup with Argentina in 2022 having scored in the final against France.
However, with Inter Miami’s goalkeeping options quite stacked, signing Armani could be bit of a pointless move for the Herons, especially with Drake Callender one of the best in his position in MLS.

Inter Miami would be fools to replace Drake Callender this January
Callender has been one of the biggest winners of the new era of Inter Miami, with the Herons no. 1 emerging as one of the best keepers in MLS and since becoming a USA international on the back of his performances with the Florida franchise.
And if Inter Miami opted to replace the 27-year-old with Armani, it would be a decision that would go down very badly with supporters, with Callender a player who has been at Chase Stadium since the club formed.
Indeed, Callender has shown that Inter Miami have a safe pair of hands in the goalkeeping position, an replacing the USA international would be a poor decision that will not go down well with fans who have been attending games since the start.
