Inter Miami appear to be closer than ever to completing a potential deal to bring Neymar to Chase Stadium.
Neymar has spoken openly about his desire to join the Herons and has shared his dream to reunite with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.
The trio formed part of the infamous MSN strike force in their time at Barcelona that broke numerous goalscoring records before they moved on to new challenges.
Despite Neymar’s clear want to join Inter Miami one hurdle was standing in the way, this appears to have been sorted.

Inter Miami have Neymar green light
Inter Miami’s co-owner Jorge Mas previously spoke about how the club would jump at the chance to sign Neymar if the former PSG winger became available, it appears that time is close according to UOL.
The Brazilian is one of the highest-paid soccer players in the world and the financial regulations in the MLS were making any possible deal tricky.
The MLS salary cap prevents teams from spending recklessly on large parts of their squad, only three players are allowed to be paid outside of this salary cap.
Last season Inter Miami’s three slots were filled by Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets and Leo Campana.
However, Inter Miami sold Campana to the New England Revolution leaving a spot for Neymar to potentially fill. This means he would not need to be on a wage which would have been unthinkably smaller than his current Saudi Pro-League contract.
Neymar’s contract runs until the Club World Cup in June, where he could even face Inter Miami, the club who are ready to welcome him in.
The Herons were handed a tough Club World Cup group however including the likes of FC Porto and Palmeiras, so reaching the knockout won’t be simple.

Neymar’s record in Saudi
When Neymar completed his move to Saudi many eyebrows were raised, at the age of 30 many felt the Brazilian still had a lot to offer Europe’s top leagues.
After moving from PSG for a reported €90 million, making him the most expensive purchase in the Saudi Pro League, things have failed to take off for Neymar following serious ACL injuries.
Since joining the league two years ago Neymar has made just seven appearances in all competitions, there is little wonder the club are debating letting him leave.
Season | Competition | Appearences | Goals | Assists |
24/25 | AFC Champions League Elite | 2 | 0 | 0 |
23/24 | AFC Champions League | 2 | 1 | 0 |
23/24 | Saudi Pro League | 3 | 0 | 3 |
Total | 7 | 1 | 3 |
Inter Miami and Javier Mascherano will certainly be hoping to get more out of the Brazilian star if he does join the club.
