The Javier Mascherano era is well underway at Inter Miami, as the Argentine looks to get his squad prepped and ready for the 2025 MLS campaign.
Last season’s pre-season tour saw the Herons travel to the Middle East and Asia, facing off against the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr.
Mascherano however will be hoping Miami have more success on their pre-season tour this time around, having won only one of their seven fixtures in the lead-up to the 2024 season.

Inter Miami pre-season 2025 tour fixtures
Having traveled to Saudi Arabia and Japan during their 2024 preparations, Inter Miami are staying in the Americas this time around.
Lionel Messi and co kick off their pre-season campaign on US soil, traveling to Las Vegas to face off against Mexican giants Club America on Jan 18.
Inter Miami will then travel south of the border to South America, first to Peru – to play Peruvian side Universitario de Deportes (Jan 29).
Mascherano’s side will continue their South American adventure with games in Panama and Honduras, before they round off their pre-season operations in Florida against MLS rivals Orlando City on Feb 14.

Pre-season will be the first chance for fans to watch Mascherano’s new-look Herons side for the first time.
Inter Miami’s first pre-season clash against Club America, will be available to watch via Apple TV.

Two of Inter Miami’s pre-season fixtures take place in the USA, meaning fans will no doubt be itching to go see the Herons play under Mascherano for the first time.
With that being said, tickets for Inter Miami’s games with Club America and Orlando City can be bought via Ticketmaster.
Will Lionel Messi be part of Inter Miami’s pre-season?
Messi was awarded the MLS MVP after leading Inter Miami to their first Supporters’ Shield crown in 2024.
The eight-time Ballon d’Or winner will be hoping to carry on that fine form into the new campaign and will see pre-season as the perfect starting point.
When asked whether Messi, will feature in Inter Miami’s pre-season campaign, Mascherano said:
“We’ll see. The objective is to get everyone ready for official games.
“We have several pre-season games and we’ll see how many minutes he’ll play based on how he feels, we don’t want to take any risks. The overall feeling is good and we’re happy with how everyone came back from vacation, it allowed us to demand from them from the first day.”
