Kieran Gibbs has likened one Inter Miami talent to Sergio Busquets after what the pundit has seen in recent weeks.
The legendary Spanish midfielder is regarded as one of the best players this century as well as one of the most influential, with Busquets playing a key role in FC Barcelona and Spain’s golden periods where the two sides were considered the greatest of all time.
At Inter Miami, Busquets has continued to shine, with the midfielder taking on a starring role for the Herons and even adapting his game to play in central defense, where the veteran has won praise for his performances.
And former defender Gibbs has now said that Inter Miami have a youngster who is starting to look similar to Busquets.

Federico Redondo compared to Busquets after Inter Miami performance
Speaking on the Inter Miami Weekly Show, 21-year-old talent Federico Redondo was showered with praise by Gibbs for his performance against Toronto FC last week, where the midfielder scored a brace in 3-1 win.
Now fully fit and back in the starting XI, Redondo’s displays have been nothing short of impressive, and Gibbs has now likened the Argentine youth international to Busquets, who the youngster could end up replacing for Inter Miami in the years to come.
Gibbs said when asked about Redondo’s development and the midfielder’s performance against Toronto: “It’s pretty remarkable what he’s doing at the moment. I really liked his performance against Toronto the other night.
“For me, he’s a bit of a hybrid between someone like Sergio Busquets, who likes to control games and has an amazing range of passing, but Redondo also has a knack to break through the midfield and join in with the attack and chip in with goals and assists. So that adds another string to his bow.”

Redondo’s development is key to Inter Miami succeeding
Redondo’s move to Inter Miami earlier this year was one that caught a number of people by surprise given how good the midfielder is and how ready the youngster looked already to move to Europe.
Yet for the Herons, Redondo’s development seems to be serving him well in MLS, where the 21-year-old is starring on a regular basis and is learning under some of the best players in the world in Busquets, Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.
And for the Florida franchise, Redondo hitting his potential will be key for Inter Miami succeeding in the years to come, with the midfielder a prospect who could shine in MLS for years to come before moving to Europe.
