James Rodriguez reportedly has an offer on the table already after the Inter Miami-linked playmaker departed Sao Paulo as a free agent.
The Colombian international surprisingly left the Brazilian giants earlier this week after finishing second in the Copa America, with Rodriguez named the competition’s best player, as the playmaker now seeks a new move in his career.
Inter Miami have been linked with a move for Rodriguez before, with the former Real Madrid and Bayern Munich star the sort of signing that would fit in well with the Herons, given the attacking midfielder’s immense popularity in the United States.
And a club have already made a contract offer for Rodriguez since leaving Sao Paulo.

Celta Vigo make approach to sign Inter Miami target Rodriguez
According to Mundo Deportivo, La Liga side Celta Vigo have offered Rodriguez a contract, with Atletico Madrid and Real Betis also weighing up potential approaches for the Colombian superstar this summer.
With Inter Miami interested in signing Rodriguez, losing out to a team like Celta Vigo would come across as a big blow for the Herons given how low the Galacia side finished in the standings last year.
Moreover, with Rodriguez enjoying his best tournament arguably since the 2014 FIFA World Cup on American soil, the chance to bring the veteran to Florida the same summer he dominated in the States would have been oddly poetic.
Indeed, Rodriguez would be quite the signing for the Herons this window, yet with Inter Miami yet to move for the attacking midfielder, hope seems to be fading fast that a deal could actually happen in the coming weeks.
