Leonardo Campana praised for development at Inter Miami

Speaking on the Inter Miami Weekly Show, Gibbs hailed Leonardo Campana on how much the striker has improved this year, with the Ecuador international recently becoming the joint-highest goalscorer in Inter Miami’s short history.

The attacker has stepped up big time in the shadow of Messi and Suarez, and Gibbs has praised Campana’s performances when called up and how important the forward is to the team.

Gibbs said when asked about Campana’s form and how much the forward has developed this season: “He’s always affecting games and it’s what we want from him. He’s consistently knocking on the door and he has been all season.

“He’s a top quality player, I think his game has matured, his decision making in front of goal has improved since he came to the club, I’m enjoying seeing him perform week-in week-out for Inter Miami. It’s no secret that it’s going to be difficult to keep hold of a player who’s performed so well, even when they’re not playing that much, but his professionalism is second to none.”

Campana will be key to Herons winning silverware this year

With three titles on the line for Inter Miami, the Herons will need every member of the supporting cast at their very best if they’re to make it two years in a row in winning silverware.

And Campana will be key if Inter Miami are to end the year with an expanded trophy cabinet, with the former Wolves striker showing that he can be a big player for the big moments this season.

The attacker has proven himself and then some for the Florida side this year, and Campana more than deserves a big moment in Inter Miami colors after everything the forward has done.
