Antoine Griezmann has always suggested he would one day end up in MLS, with Inter Miami one of the teams linked with the striker.

According to GiveMeSport, LAFC are certain that they have won the race to sign Griezmann, with the 2022 MLS Cup champions believing that the Atletico Madrid star joining is a matter of ‘when’ rather than ‘if’.
Having signed Hugo Lloris and Olivier Giroud this year, the French revolution of LAFC will seemingly continue with Griezmann this summer, with Inter Miami set to miss out on the 33-year-old attacker.
With Marco Reus also agreeing to join the LA Galaxy over Inter Miami, the Herons have once again missed out on a superstar forward is now opting to make the move to MLS at this stage in their career.
Yet with Messi and Suarez already in their ranks, Inter Miami can feel safe knowing that their attacking options are still arguably the best in the league, even if Griezmann joins LAFC this summer.

Inter Miami fans will be annoyed that Griezmann has opted to join LAFC over Inter Miami, but as for the league as a whole, the transfer could do a lot of good in the years to come.
A fair and balanced league where every MLS team can go for glory is what soccer should be about, with the American division one of the few in the sport where the winners are varied and diverse.
And Griezmann joining LAFC will help with this aim, with Inter Miami no longer the most dangerous-looking team in MLS if the Frenchman joins this summer from Atletico.
