Inter Miami travel to Ohio this week to face the Columbus Crew in what could be the biggest Round of 16 tie in this year’s Leagues Cup.
The reigning Leagues Cup holders and favorites for this year’s title face off against the current MLS champions and one of the in-form teams in North America, with Columbus showing this summer why they’re one of the best sides in the land.
Although Inter Miami recently beat the Crew at Chase Stadium, the Herons will be in for a totally different experience this Wednesday when Tata Martino’s side travel away from home to take on the reigning MLS Cup holders.
And manager Wilfried Nancy has been sharing his verdict on facing Inter Miami.

Nancy not overthinking Columbus Crew’s tie with Inter Miami
Speaking to MLS’s official website ahead of tomorrow’s tie with Inter Miami, Nancy brought a calming verdict for Columbus fans over the fixture, with the Crew manager keeping a level head when asked about the fixture.
Indeed, Martino recently named the Columbus Crew as the best side in MLS, and Inter Miami will be in for a tough game, with Lionel Messi still out injured after twisting his ankle last month at the Copa America.
Nancy said when asked about his opinion on facing Inter Miami in Leagues Cup tomorrow: “This is a good game to play against a good team. Last time that we played, we could have done better, but they did it well also.
“So this is not a revenge story, this is nothing, this is just another game to go through. Now the time is to rest, and after that to prepare the game and try to have a good performance to go through, simple as that.”

Inter Miami could face their biggest test yet this summer
From a record-breaking 6-1 loss to FC Cincinnati to recently tasting defeat against Tigres, Inter Miami have shown they can be beaten this summer despite an incredible run of form.
And against the Columbus Crew, Inter Miami could face their biggest test yet, with the Ohio franchise one of the in-form teams in MLS and one of the best clubs in the entire country.
Inter Miami will need to be at their best if they’re to get past the Crew, and if the Herons can show up, they can book their ticket to the quarter-finals of Leagues Cup with ease.
