Luis Suarez has been arguably Inter Miami’s best player this season with Lionel Messi missing over half the year due to injury.
The Uruguay striker leads the Herons’ goalscoring charts with 20 goals in all competitions with Suarez now starting to break Inter Miami records of his own after a frantic start to the year for Messi in MLS.
With Suarez’s Inter Miami contract expiring at the end of the year, though, talks will soon need to begin with the 37-year-old on if he wants to renew for another season after such a productive campaign.
Yet Suarez himself might have already hinted at what he wants to do about his Inter Miami future.

Suarez likely to stay at Inter Miami for one more year
According to the Miami Herald’s Michelle Kaufman, there’s a real chance that Suarez could renew with Inter Miami given that the forward said in a press conference this week that he wants to enjoy his soccer.
Having retired from the Uruguay national team, Inter Miami will become Suarez’s sole focus after he plays his last game for the South American giants this Friday against rivals Paraguay.
And for Kaufman, there’s a real chance that Suarez could sign a new deal with Inter Miami, with the journalist saying: “As far as his future with Inter Miami goes, he didn’t say exactly.
“His contract ends in December, he only signed a one-year deal, but he did say: ‘I want to enjoy football a little more,’ that to me is a hint that he would sign one more year. Messi has one more year, so maybe Suarez will be able to sign for one more year.”

Suarez can easily do one more year in Florida
Suarez’s numbers this year tell you all you need to know about the Uruguay international, with the 37-year-old attacker still very much one of the best forwards in the world despite his age and fitness issues.
With Suarez now out of the international game, the striker now has more time to focus on himself, and the former FC Barcelona star could easily do one more year at Inter Miami alongside Messi.
With success on the horizon for Inter Miami this year, Suarez could have an itch to keep going with the Florida franchise next year, with the attacker too good to call it quits on his career.
