Speaking to Inter Miami’s official YouTube channel, the 22-year-old attacker revealed how ‘special’ it feels to train with Messi, with Farias noting how the Argentine international is an inspiration for him.
The young forward has missed the entire season after Farias picked up an ACL injury in Inter Miami’s first game of pre-season, with the youngster enjoying an impressive first year in Florida after joining from Colon.
Indeed, Farias’ injury has been one of the genuine low points for Inter Miami this season, yet the forward seems in good spirits still during his recovery, with the youngster happy to be able to train with Messi.
Farias said when asked who his biggest soccer inspiration is: “We Argentines love Leo, Leo is an inspiration for us. Training with Leo and with the other guys who came, it’s something special.”
Farias could be like a new signing for Inter Miami next year
Inter Miami’s injury luck has been quite extraordinary this year, yet the case of Farias is arguably the saddest of all given just how promising the Argentine international looked in 2023.
However, with Farias soon to return to training and the MLS season coming to an end, the attacker could be like a new signing for Inter Miami next season if the 22-year-old can be declared fit for the new year.
Farias is one of the most promising players at Inter Miami and is a talent who can go far if he can get his development back on track, and the Herons will be excited to have the former Colon star back for 2025.
