Inter Miami announced the signing of Oscar Ustari this week with the veteran goalkeeper reuniting with Lionel Messi.
The former Argentine international came through multiple youth teams with the Inter Miami captain with Ustari now back alongside Messi with the Herons, with the 38-year-old signed as backup for Drake Callender.
With Ustari already excited to be playing with Messi again, the former Pachuca and Boca Juniors goalkeeper will been eager to keep squad morale high heading into the MLS play-offs, where Inter Miami will be favorites.
And Ustari has now shared what he’s noticed about Messi at Inter Miami.

Ustari says Messi is enjoying life at Inter Miami
Speaking to the press at open training, the Argentine goalkeeper revealed that Messi is enjoying life at Inter Miami, with the attacker now back in full training after missing the last month due to an ankle injury.
With Tata Martino saying Messi could play against the Philadelphia Union, the Inter Miami forward might finally return to MLS action this weekend having not played for the Herons since June, and Ustari believes his former teammate is happy in Florida.
Ustari said about reuniting with Messi: “What I value most is how he always leads with the right foot forward, he’s never forgotten his roots. In the case with me, he has always been the same, so it makes me very happy that he hasn’t changed and with time he hasn’t developed that stubbornness.
“He has achieved everything there is to achieve and he’s earned it by working hard. I am in a stage of enjoyment with Leo and I am happy to be here and to see him also enjoying it.”

Messi can finally get back to work with the Herons this weekend
It’s been over three months since Messi last played for Inter Miami, with the Copa America and an ankle injury keeping the forward out of action longer than anyone would have anticipated.
Yet with the return likely this weekend, Messi will be keen to get back to action after such a long spell out of action, with the 37-year-old eager to get back to doing what he loves most.
With Inter Miami through to the play-offs, there will be little pressure on Messi to drag the Florida franchise to success in the coming weeks, though the Argentine will be intent on doing all he can to get back to his best.
