Premier League star sends message to Inter Miami's Diego Gomez after 1-0 Paraguay win vs Brazil

Paraguay enjoyed one of their biggest results in years with a 1-0 win against Brazil, with Inter Miami’s Diego Gomez the hero on the night.

The 21-year-old midfielder scored a wondergoal past Alisson Becker as Paraguay secured a huge win against Brazil, with Gomez’s strike the first the youngster has ever scored for his national team at a senior level.

With Gomez creating history with Paraguay, it was an incredible moment for the Inter Miami midfielder, who saw his stock increase drastically after such a goal against one of the biggest national teams in all of soccer.

And a Premier League has now praised Gomez for his efforts against Brazil.

Julio Enciso lauds Gomez after Paraguay winner vs Brazil

Taking to Instagram, Brighton & Hove Albion winger Julio Enciso was full of praise for Gomez after the Inter Miami’s sensational winner for Paraguay against Brazil, with the winger writing: “Congratulations little brother, I love you.”

With Gomez joining Brighton in January, Enciso showing love for his international teammate is a good sign that the midfielder is going to make an easy transition from Inter Miami to the Premier League.

Indeed, Enciso is regarded as one of the most exciting youngsters in England having moved to Brighton as one of the many unknown wonderkids signed by the Seagulls who has since become a star in the division.

And with Enciso already a fan of Gomez, there’s a good chance that the Inter Miami star can become a hit in the Premier League, especially with the midfielder showing he can do the business against some of the best in the world.

Gomez already looks set for the Premier League

Gomez is one of Inter Miami’s best players and a key reason behind the Herons’ record-breaking form this year, with the Paraguay international showing why he’s good enough for the Premier League.

And last night’s performance once again highlighted that claim, with Gomez ready to take the biggest soccer league in the world by storm having grown his game at Inter Miami in MLS.

The 21-year-old is set for a huge future in the game, and the Premier League might not be ready for what Gomez has to offer if he hits the ground running with Brighton in 2025.
