Inter Miami remain top of the Supporters’ Shield standings, yet their form in recent games has been nothing short of disappointing.
Even with Lionel Messi back to full fitness, the Herons have drawn their last three games in MLS, failing to secure the Supporters’ Shield title and losing major ground in their bid to break the regular season points record.
With Columbus Crew coming up next for Inter Miami, the Florida franchise travels to their Eastern Conference rivals with a real possibility of their unbeaten record coming to an end with Wilfried Nancy’s side in great form.
And star forward Matias Rojas has now spoken out about Inter Miami’s form in recent weeks.

Rojas admits Inter Miami are struggling at the moment
Speaking to the press after Saturday’s draw with Charlotte FC, the Paraguay international admitted that Inter Miami are in a difficult moment in the season, even with Messi back to full fitness alongside Luis Suarez.
Indeed, one more win will secure Inter Miami’s status as Supporters’ Shield champions, giving the Florida franchise a huge boost heading into the play-offs and confirming home-field advantage in their bid to win MLS Cup.
Yet for Rojas, Inter Miami’s form in recent weeks simply hasn’t been good enough, and the squad now owes it to step up given the amount of quality the Herons have in their roster heading into these final regular season games.
Rojas said: “We are in a moment that’s hard for us to process because we want to win, the team wants to win. But like I said, we’re following four of the best [players in Messi, Suarez, Busquets and Alba], who always aim for the best and want to win everything.”

Inter Miami need to show their full quality against Columbus Crew
Inter Miami face arguably their biggest test in MLS this year in a few days when they travel to face the Crew in a game that could set the tempo for the Eastern Conference play-offs.
The Herons are in need of a win having dropped points in their last three MLS games, with Columbus out to show the world what they’re capable of after such an incredible year under Nancy
And for Inter Miami, they will want to show their full quality having stumbled in the last three matches, with a win against Columbus exactly what the Florida franchise need to feel like the best team in the country once again.
