Luis Suarez has been one of Inter Miami’s best players this season, with the veteran attacker proving a lot of critics wrong after a successful first year in MLS.
The former FC Barcelona and Liverpool superstar arrived in Florida with some huge question marks surrounding his fitness, with the striker looking unfit in pre-season as Bradley Wright-Phillips predicted Suarez would falter at Inter Miami.
However, a record-breaking goalscoring season later, many pundits who tipped Suarez to struggle with the Herons have now gone back on their word, with the 37-year-old attacker one of the best forwards in MLS and looking good alongside Lionel Messi now back from injury.
Yet one MLS expert believes Suarez is starting to show his age after one moment against Charlotte FC on Saturday.

Suarez ‘starting to look a bit old’ after latest Inter Miami performance
Writing for MLS’s official website, the pundit highlighted how Inter Miami’s older players are now starting to look their age, with Doyle highlighting one bad miss from Suarez against the Crown that could have won the Herons the game.
With Suarez making another big miss in Inter Miami’s away tie against Atlanta United, the 37-year-old could have secured the two wins needed for the Herons to claim the Supporters’ Shield title, and fears that the forward is showing his age could be coming true.
Doyle said about Inter Miami’s performance against Charlotte: “Their older guys are starting to look a bit old. Even so, they should’ve won this one – they doubled up Charlotte’s xG and Luis Suarez’s late miss was, indeed, unbelievable.
“But Miami’s lack of field coverage at multiple crucial spots can make them easy to play against (at times) in a way other top teams aren’t. Credit to Charlotte for taking advantage, and then doing just enough to hang on to the point.”

Suarez is becoming rusty at the worst possible point this season
With 21 goals and nine assists in all competitions this season, claiming that Suarez has lost his goalscoring touch this year would be nothing short of absurd, with the striker still will one of the best finishers in world soccer.
However, Suarez’s form in the last three games has been a concern, with the attacker missing two golden chances to win points for Inter Miami and uncharacteristically missing the net, something many would view as impossible for a striker as good as the Uruguayan.
And with the play-offs over the horizon, Inter Miami will hope Suarez can rediscover his eye for goal sooner rather than later, with the attacker too important for the Herons to go cold at this stage in the season.
