Report: What Inter Miami actually think about signing Antoine Griezmann in 2025

Antoine Griezmann has never hid his admiration for the United States, with the Atletico Madrid star rumored with a move to Inter Miami for good reason.

The former FC Barcelona forward this week announced his retirement from the France national team, with Griezmann stoking up flames that the 33-year-old attacker could be heading to America in 2025.

With Inter Miami linked with Griezmann, there’s a real chance that the La Liga talisman could swap Madrid for Florida next year if the forward makes the decision to leave Spain for the United States at long last.

And Inter Miami seemingly have a stance on whether or not they want to pursue Griezmann next year.

Inter Miami will try to bring Griezmann to MLS in 2025

According to Catalunya Radio, Inter Miami will make an attempt to pursue Griezemann in 2025, with the Herons open to bringing the former France international to MLS if he leaves Atletico at the end of this season.

With former Barcelona teammates Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba on Inter Miami’s roster, convincing Griezmann to make the move to Chase Stadium could be quite an easy mission for the MLS giants.

However, with Inter Miami having all three Designated Players spots filled up and their salary cap stretched to the limit, actually affording Griezmann could take some accounting gymnastics for the Herons.

Indeed, with Leonardo Campana a Designated Player, there is a chance that the Ecuador international’s contract can be bought down in order to facilitate a move for Griezmann, a decision that could make Inter Miami the favorites for the French star.

Griezmann could push the Herons and MLS to the next level

Griezmann has been destined to move to MLS for some time now, with the attacker now as close as he has ever been to making the move to the United States after this week’s France announcement.

And if Inter Miami can secure Griezmann’s services, it would take the Florida franchise and MLS to the next level after last year’s arrival of Messi at Chase Stadium and the impact that signing had on the league.

Something is potentially in the works behind the scenes at Inter Miami headquarters, and Griezmann could soon become the club’s next superstar signing if all the details can be ironed out.
