Paul Pogba is one of the biggest names in soccer, with the French midfielder likely to soon be linked with a move to Inter Miami.

Fabrizio Romano reported this week that the former Manchester United superstar is set to leave Juventus as a free-agent after Pogba’s worldwide soccer ban for doping was reduced from four years to 18 months, with the 31-year-old set to return to the game in March.

Given the circumstances surrounding Pogba and his career in the last two seasons, there’s a real chance that the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner won’t play in Europe again, potentially opening the door to a move to MLS and Inter Miami.

And the Herons must consider a move for Pogba in 2025.

Paul Pogba can rebuild his career at Inter Miami next year

With Pogba set to become a free-agent and the midfielder allowed to train again in January, there timings are perfect for the former Serie A maestro to make a move to MLS, where Inter Miami are an obvious candidate to sign the Frenchman.

Although Inter Miami have all three Designated Player spots filled, buying down one of these players, namely Leonardo Campana, is a realistic possibility once the 2024 MLS season is over, allowing the Herons to bring in another superstar player who could need some financial motivation.

With Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Sergio Busquets all slated to play for Inter Miami next year, the star power is there to convince a top name in soccer like Pogba to make the move to Chase Stadium for 2025.

And given all the controversy and problems that have followed Pogba in the last two years, a clear break away from Europe is exactly what the midfielder needs, with Inter Miami the ideal club to get the 31-year-old’s career back on track.

MLS move could also appeal to Pogba in 2025

With Pogba unlikely to secure a big-money move to one of Europe’s elite once his ban is complete, a move to MLS to settle down with his family, a key reason why Messi made the move to America, could appeal hugely for the former Premier League star.

Having not played any consistent soccer since 2022, Pogba is at a strange impasse in his career where he needs to build up fitness if he’s to return to the world-class levels that made the midfielder once the most expensive player in the game.

And MLS and Inter Miami can provide that for Pogba, with the pace of the league perfect for the former France superstar with Florida a dream location for the midfielder and his young family.
