Inter Miami captain Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are nearing the ends of their legendary careers, and Estevao Willian could be next to take over from their thrones.
The 17-year-old Brazilian wonderkid is regarded as one of the most exciting youngsters in all of soccer, with Estevao dubbed ‘little Messi’ during his childhood due to his incredible abilities on the ball and the ease the winger can take on opponents.
Set to join Chelsea next year, Estevao could be part of the next generation of players who could become the best in the world and become the next Messi’s and Ronaldo’s of the game, even if their numbers won’t match the duo in the slightest.
And Estevao has now shared who he prefers between Messi or Ronaldo.

Speaking to the Guardian, the Palmerias sensation revealed that is reference point in soccer is Messi, with Estevao highlighting all the Argentine has done on and off the field to become the greatest of all time.
With Pep Guardiola recently naming Messi as the best there ever has been in in soccer, the Inter Miami forward more than deserves his flowers with the Argentine’s career coming to a slow but eventual conclusion.
And Estevao has now joined in on praising Messi, with the Brazilian saying: “I like Neymar a lot too, Cristiano Ronaldo. But my reference is Messi for everything he’s done for football. The way he plays and what he does off the pitch is a guy I always have to look up to.
“And, of course, for me being left-footed like him favours as well. Some people are born with talent, others have to work hard. Good examples are Messi and Ronaldo. Messi has the talent, Ronaldo the effort. I look for both. Talent and dedication.”
