Lionel Messi and Inter Miami face the New England Revolution on Saturday in what could be a historic fixture.
The Herons are one win away from breaking the MLS regular-season points record currently held by the Revolution, with Messi set to be fit to start for Inter Miami after fully recovering from his latest injury setback.
With Luis Suarez, Leonardo Campana and Sergio Busquets also all fully fit, Inter Miami could have a near-healthy squad to take on New England, who have nothing to play for with their MLS play-off elimination confirmed weeks ago.
And MLS legend Sacha Kljestan has now predicted what Messi could do against New England at Chase Stadium.

Messi tipped to create ‘magic’ for Inter Miami vs the New England Revolution
Writing for MLS’s official website, the former USA international predicted Messi to produce ‘some magic’ for Inter Miami in their final regular-season game, especially with history on the line for the Florida franchise.
Having already won the Supporters’ Shield, Messi will want to help Inter Miami to another record with the Herons this season, and a big performance on Saturday at Chase Stadium will do just that for Tata Martino’s side.
Kljestan said ahead of Inter Miami’s tie with New England: “Inter Miami need to win at home against New England to set the all-time regular-season points record. They enter with 71 points, and a win gives them a record-breaking 74 points.
“The GOAT has been dominant when he’s on the field this season, tallying 17 goals and 15 assists in just 18 matches, and I expect nothing less than another standout performance on Saturday. If the game is tight and somebody needs to be the difference-maker in crunch time, keep your eye on Messi for some magic.

Messi knows the pressure will be on for him to perform
Inter Miami have been exceptional this season with and without Messi, with the Herons looking to build from their Supporters’ Shield win with a run all the way to MLS Cup.
And securing the regular-season points record would be a big step in the right direction in Inter Miami going down in history as the best side in MLS history, with Messi aware that the pressure will be on for him to perform.
Indeed, Messi being fit gives Inter Miami a huge boost in their final game of the season against New England, and a big performance from the Argentine could be the difference between a disappointing end or another record in the books.
