Inter Miami are the most recognizable MLS franchise in the world after David Beckham brought Lionel Messi to Florida.

The England legend played a key role in bringing the former FC Barcelona superstar to Chase Stadium, with Messi rejecting a world-record contract offer from Saudi Arabia to make the move to Inter Miami last summer.

With Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba and Luis Suarez also joining Messi in Florida, Inter Miami’s squad could be considered the best in MLS history, with the Herons the clear favorites for MLS Cup going into this year’s play-offs.

Yet Beckham has named one Inter Miami youngster he has loved watching alongside Messi.

Beckham ‘proud’ to see Inter Miami academy graduate Benjamin Cremaschi play with Messi

Speaking on Rio Ferdinand Presents, the Inter Miami co-owner revealed how much he has enjoyed seeing Benjamin Cremaschi become a regular for the Herons in central midfield and to play alongside the likes of Messi.

Cremaschi came through Inter Miami’s academy and in the last two seasons has established himself as one of Tata Martino’s most consistent performers, with the teenage midfielder now a regular with the USMNT.

And for Beckham, the former Manchester United winger has loved seeing the 19-year-old develop into a regular for the Florida franchise, with Kieran Gibbs tipping Cremaschi to be for Inter Miami in their quest to win MLS Cup.

Beckham said: “As much as I love seeing the players and the team that we have created at Miami, you’ve got Leo, you’ve got Sergio, you’ve got Alba, you’ve got Luis Suarez, when I see them passing around the pitch and all of a sudden they pass to Benjamin Cremaschi, who has come through our academy from a young kid and is now playing with these players, that makes me proud.”

Benjamin Cremaschi is a superstar in the making

Inter Miami might be the home for all the biggest stars in MLS, yet the last few years have shown that they’re also making them, with Cremaschi the latest one off the production line.

With Diego Gomez joining Brighton & Hove Albion for a club-record fee, there’s a real chance that Cremaschi could break that figure if the midfielder continues at his current pace, with the teenager’s stats in the last two season quite impressive.

Indeed, Cremaschi has all the talent in the world to become a superstar and one of the leading MLS exports in the years to come, and it might not be long before the Florida-born midfielder is heading to Europe to take on the next chapter in his career.
