Federico Redondo emerging as a top target for River Plate

According to River Noticias, the Argentine giants are interested in Inter Miami’s Federico Redondo, who as per the report is viewed as a priority target for River Plate as a successor to Matias Kranevitter in 2025.

Redondo was once hailed by Kieran Gibbs as a ‘remarkable’ player with the Argentina youth international likened to Sergio Busquets, with the 21-year-old a regular in the Inter Miami midfield when fully fit and available.

Despite this, the youngster’s future in Florida isn’t completely secure, with River Plate linked with Redondo earlier this year with the midfielder struggling at times this year for fitness and consistent form.

With River Plate as big as they are, a move back to Argentina could be appealing for Redondo, especially if Inter Miami feel they can get a good fee for the 21-year-old talent, who has not lived up to expectations since arriving.
