Inter Miami have been the best side in MLS this year, yet even with Lionel Messi, it hasn’t been an easy ride for the Herons.
A number of key players have suffered big injuries this season, with Nicolas Freire tearing his ACL as Messi himself sat out for two months after twisting his ankle in the Copa America final, with the Argentine now back to his best.
With Ian Fray coming back from an ACL injury and last week going down with another fitness issue, Inter Miami have been hit hard by physical problems to a number of important players in the first-team roster.
And one such figure who hasn’t feature at all this season is now finally back in training.

Facundo Farias back in Inter Miami training after suffering pre-season injury
As reported by Ole, Argentine attacker Facundo Farias is back in full Inter Miami training with the likes of Messi and company after spending the entire year out after tearing his ACL at the very start of pre-season.
Ole report: “After suffering a cruciate ligament tear, the Argentine striker is in the final stages of his recovery and is already training with his teammates. Inter Miami hopes to return to the playing field next year.”
Inter Miami fans were left shocked by Farias’ injury as one of the Herons’ star players from last year was ruled out immediately for this season, with the Argentine youngster viewed as one of the Florida franchise’s most exciting players.
Yet with Farias now back in training and working his way back to full fitness, Inter Miami could be in line for a huge boost next season with the 22-year-old’s return, with Tata Martino missing the versatile attacker.

Farias could be set for a breakout MLS season in 2025
Before his ACL injury, Farias was viewed as not only one of Inter Miami’s most exciting players, but also one of the most promising talents in all of MLS, with the forward being robbed an entire year of his career.
Yet 2025 promises to be a big year for Farias, with the forward set to return to Inter Miami’s first-team plans to provide key cover for the likes of Messi, Luis Suarez and Leonardo Campana.
And at 22-years-old, Farias still has plenty of room to develop and to become a top player for Inter Miami, who will be excited to see what the Argentine is capable of in the forward-line alongside Messi.
