Paul Pogba is a name that has come up in recent weeks as a potential transfer target for Inter Miami for 2025.
The France superstar is set to become a free-agent with Pogba and Juventus in talks to free the 31-year-old midfielder from his contract with the Serie A giants, opening the door for Pogba to move to MLS.
With Inter Miami one of the clubs linked with Pogba, there’s a real chance that the Herons could win the race for the former Manchester United superstar, who is believed to be keen on making the move to America.
Yet MLS officials believe a transfer to Inter Miami could now be impossible.

Inter Miami unlikely to sign Pogba due to having three Designated Players
According to the Athletic, MLS sources and officials view Pogba as an unlikely signing for Inter Miami, with the Herons having all three Designated Player spots filled by Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets and Leonardo Campana.
With Inter Miami also interested in Neymar, there’s a real chance that the Chase Stadium side could prioritize a move for the Brazil international over Pogba, especially with the winger having such a strong connection to the likes of Messi and Luis Suarez.
Moreover, Inter Miami’s success in the last 12 months could inspire other MLS clubs to taker a big gamble on a superstar name, something Pogba fits to a tee if America ends up being the midfielder’s final destination.
Indeed, Pogba would be a huge signing for Inter Miami next summer, but given the logistical problems and the midfielder’s profile, the Herons might be wise to move on from the France international heading into 2025.

Neymar has to be Inter Miami’s main target in 2025
2025 is shaping up to be a big year for Inter Miami, with the Herons set to compete in the FIFA Club World Cup and to land another huge signing if they can get over their logistical salary problems.
Yet when it comes to who should Inter Miami sign between Pogba or Neymar, it’s clear that the Al-Hilal winger is the more ideal candidate for Tata Martino’s side and the big picture for the Florida franchise.
Neymar has experience playing alongside Messi and Suarez, and the forward could be open to moving to Inter Miami and becoming one of their franchise players for many years to come.
