Neymar refuels Inter Miami rumours with interesting comment to Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez

Neymar has been strongly linked with a move to Inter Miami in recent times.

The sudden influx of footballers in Miami who hit stardom at Barcelona – such as Lionel Messi, Jordi Alba, Luis Suarez and Sergio Busquets – has led to rumours suggesting the Brazil international could make the same move.

Doubt was recently cast over the potential transfer as Cesar Luis Merlo claimed that Neymar would be returning to Santos when his time with Al-Hilal comes to an end.

Now – however – Neymar himself has refuelled speculation he could reunite with Messi and Suarez at Inter Miami with an interesting comment.

What Neymar said to Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez

The trio have reunited – albeit virtually – for Konami’s eFootball, starring in a trailer on YouTube.

Messi and Suarez can be seen playing eFootball together in the same room, connecting with Neymar – who Gianluigi Buffon recently praised – over a video chat.

At the end of the advertisement, Neymar says “I wish I were there too” when saying goodbye to his fellow South Americans – sparking rumours he would like to join them at Inter Miami.

Of course, it might be nothing more than an innocent comment from the Brazilian, although given the recent rumours regarding a move to Inter Miami, it has understandably reignited the speculation.

Neymar would require brand new shirt number at Inter Miami

If Neymar does end up signing for Inter Miami in 2025, the 32-year-old will have to wear a shirt number he’s never previously worn.

Throughout his entire career, the Brazilian has only ever worn either the No.10 or No.11 jersey, which are currently occupied by Messi and Facundo Farias respectively.

Of course, Neymar could ask Farias for the shirt if a move does materialise, but if the Argentine rejects the request, David Beckham will have to find a new number to satisfy the winger.
