Inter Miami have been quick to make some major moves in the off-season, with Javier Mascherano replacing Tata Martino as manager.
The 40-year-old coach will take on his first role as a club manager next year with Mascherano reuniting with his former FC Barcelona teammates Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Sergio Busquets at Inter Miami, where the pressure will be on for the Argentine coach.
Shaka Hislop has already highlighted how Mascherano could struggle at Inter Miami given the intricacies of managing in MLS, a division that is regarded as one of the hardest for outside coaches to come into and succeed in.
And English soccer great Gary Neville has now given his verdict on Mascherano heading to Inter Miami.

Neville tips Mascherano to be a ‘great fit’ for Inter Miami
Speaking on It’s Called Soccer, the former Manchester United captain tipped the former Liverpool defender to be a success at Inter Miami, with Neville confident that Mascherano’s work with the Argentina youth sides could be beneficial in Florida given how young the squad is.
Neville said: “Having worked with the youth teams at Argentina, the way MLS works is you have these fantastic stars and then a group of players who are a bit younger that aren’t as well-paid, it’s almost like having two separate changing rooms.
“So Mascherano having worked with youth teams could have that ability to flip what would be dealing with the senior players and then the rest of the dressing room, how does he connect with them, how does he get the best out of them and coaching them?
“Working with younger players, he’s got that dynamic of being able to work with these players, so he could be a great fit.”

Mascherano could get the best out of Inter Miami’s promising youngsters
Although the Herons are viewed as the Messi team, the bulk of the squad is made up of young players with the potential to become superstars in the future, with Inter Miami already selling Diego Gomez to Brighton & Hove Albion.
And with Mascherano already working with Tomas Aviles, Federico Redondo and Benjamin Cremaschi in some capacity with Argentina’s youth sides, the new Inter Miami manager could be a great fit to develop the young players into MLS superstars.
Indeed, Inter Miami have some of the most exciting youngsters in the league in their roster, and Mascherano could be the man to get the best out of these players next season in what would be an exciting development.
