The January transfer window is one month away from opening, and Inter Miami have now been linked with a move for Liverpool star Mohamed Salah.
The 32-year-old winger is widely regarded as one of the best players in the world and a legend for the Premier League giants, with Salah one of Liverpool’s all-time leading goalscorers since joining the Reds in 2017.
With the forward’s contract expiring in 2025, though, rumors surrounding the Egyptian international’s future have been rife, with Inter Miami now in the mix to sign Salah as a potential free-agent at the end of the Premier League season.
And if the transfer were to go through, Salah would be linking up with a player that the Liverpool superstar has immense respect for, Lionel Messi.

With eight Ballon d’Or wins and the most titles won out of any professional player in soccer, it’s no real surprise that Salah is a huge fan of Messi, even with the Liverpool winger facing the Argentine international just once in his entire career.
Salah told TNT Sports when asked about Messi earlier this year: “What would happen if Messi played in the Premier League? You are talking about the best player in the world, wherever he goes, he will play football, and football for Messi is a divine talent.”
With Inter Miami forward Matias Rojas sharing a similar opinion on Messi before joining the Herons earlier this year, Salah linking up with the Argentine superstar could be a goal the Liverpool attacker has for his career.
And with links now out there in the wild connecting Salah with Inter Miami, the prospect of a deal happening is on the table, with the Egyptian international the sort of profile the Florida franchise would realistically look into.
How good has Salah been this season for Liverpool
Salah’s contract with Liverpool expires at the end of the season, and it seems almost ironic that the 32-year-old forward has decided to choose this campaign to become an absolute freak of nature.
