Inter Miami today discovered who they will face in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, with the Herons handed an interesting group.
The rebranded competition makes its debut next year in the United States with Inter Miami qualifying as the host nation’s side having won the Supporters’ Shield and setting a regular-season points record with Lionel Messi and friends.
Although there has been controversy surrounding the Herons’ participation in the competition, USA legend Alexis Lalas is one figure who has backed Inter Miami’s claim to take part in the Club World Cup next year.
And Inter Miami fans have now reacted are finding out their group.

Inter Miami were drawn into Group A of the Club World Cup, with the MLS franchise set to take on Portuguese giants FC Porto, Brazilian side Palmeiras, and Egyptian titans Al Ahly, with supporters excited by the draw.
However, fans have noted that whilst the group is a winnable one for Inter Miami, signings might be needed if Javier Mascherano’s side are to make it into the knockout stages, where they could face a true giant of soccer, such as Real Madrid or Bayern Munich.

Indeed, the general atmosphere with Inter Miami fans following the draw is one of optimism, though the call for Mascherano to sign a defender or two has been made, with the Florida franchise looking light at the back heading into 2025.

The Club World Cup will be a huge chance for Inter Miami to show the soccer world how good they really have become since the arrival of Messi last year, with the Herons making huge strides in the last 12 months.
And with the opponents for the competition now known, Inter Miami need to get down to work to bring in players who could help the Florida franchise make a big impact at the Club World Cup alongside Messi, Luis Suarez and Sergio Busquets.
Indeed, Inter Miami will be viewed as the MLS side with the best chance of making it into the knockout stages of the Club World Cup, and with fans calling for signings, the Herons need to deliver in the January transfer window.
