Inter Miami have completed their first signing of the off-season but are now looking to add more depth to their squad.
Javier Mascherano has completed the signing of Fafa Picault, the former Vancouver Whitecap star will bring much-needed pace to Inter Miami’s attack.
Before the purchase of Picault, Inter Miami picked up Bailey Sparks and Michael Appiah from the MLS SuperDraft.
The Herons have been linked with several San Lorenzo stars including Alexis Cuello and they now have another in their sights.

Ivan Leguizamon latest Inter Miami target
It is clear that Inter Miami are in need of some squad reinforcement following the departure of two of the most talented stars during this off-season.
Diego Gomez joined Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion while the attacking line was also dented when Leo Campana joined the New England Revolution.
Despite winning the Supporters Shield Inter Miami will be looking to build on what was a flat end to last season where they unexpectedly crashed out of the playoffs against Atlanta United.
Mascherano has pinpointed San Lorenzo youngster Leguizamon as someone who can help Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez by taking some of the goal-scoring burden from them, according to reports.
Last season both Suarez and Messi scored 20 goals each in the MLS, the next highest was Campana with 8.
22-year-old Leguizamon is nearing 100 caps for San Lorenzo and received his international debut for Paraguay in 2023. He has scored six goals in his career adding three assists, hardly clinical for an attacker.

Inter Miami face competition for Leguizamon
While Inter Miami would like to get a deal done quickly for the attacker it appears that they face competition from other clubs.
Paraguayan side Olimpia is said to be interested in their national player who may like to return to his country of birth.
With the season just two months away Mascherano will be looking to strengthen his side before Inter Miami host New York City FC in the first game of the season.
