Inter Miami’s chances of signing Neymar seem to be changing by the day, but they have just been dealt a major boost in their pursuit.
Neymar has made it clear he would like to join Inter Miami to play alongside former teammates Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.
However, recent reports have suggested that Neymar is in talks with MLS rivals the Chicago Fire, news that would be a major blow to the Herons.
Inter Miami will not give up on their pursuit of the superstar, however, especially following the latest comments from Neymar’s Al-Hilal manager.

Neymar will not be registered for second half of Saudi Pro League
While manager Javier Mascherano has stated that a deal for the 32-year-old would be ‘impossible’ there are three things that Inter Miami could do to secure Neymar’s signature.
Suarez has also spoken of the ‘difficulties’ of signing his former teammate, but it appears that Neymar’s Al-Hilal career may be ending following his coach’s recent comments.
According to trusted journalist Fabrizio Romano Al Hilal’s manager Jorge Jesus has ruled Neymar out of being registered for the second half of the team’s season.
Jesus said: “Ney will not be registered, but he can participate in the Asian Champions League.
“He’s world-class. But the truth is, physically, Neymar can no longer perform at the level we are used to”.
The comments come as Neymar has managed to play just five games since joining the Saudi side in 2023, he has suffered hugely from injury, something that any future buyers should be wary of.
Inter Miami should be wary of Neymar’s injury issues
While there is no doubting the natural ability of the five-time Ligue 1 winner, his recent injury issues should be noted.
Any move to bring Neymar to Inter Miami would involve some major finances and co-owner David Beckham would want to ensure he was getting his money’s worth.
Neymar’s injury record over the last few seasons is clear to see, he has missed a total of 83 games in just under two years, and he’s barely been able to make the field.
Inter Miami already possess their world-class talents. Messi looks set to sign a new contract while Suarez has already put pen to paper.
Any move to bring in Neymar may be a financial risk the club are unwilling to take.
