An Inter Miami player has now shared his desire to leave for a Premier League club this summer after rumoured interest.
Diego Gomez has emerged as one of the most exciting prospects in MLS with the Herons after breaking into Tata Martino’s starting XI this season, with the Paraguay international attracting reported interest from the likes of Brighton & Hove Albion and West Ham.
With the Seagulls tabling a bid to sign Gomez, Brighton seems like the early favorites to sign the 21-year-old midfielder, who last night scored a goal for Inter Miami in an impressive 3-1 win against Toronto FC.
And Gomez has now publically addressed the rumors that he could be heading to Europe this summer.

Gomez reveals his agent is in England to discuss Brighton transfer
Speaking to the press after last night’s win at Chase Stadium, Gomez revealed that his agent is in England as we speak to discuss a move to Brighton, where a move could soon be finalized for the Paraguay talent.
Gomez said when asked about moving to Europe this summer amid interest from Brighton: “My agent is speaking there with the club [Brighton]. I came to Inter Miami to make the jump to Europe, so I hope they let it happen if it happens.”
With Inter Miami seemingly prepared to late Gomez leave this summer, the 21-year-old could soon be heading to the Premier League after just six months of MLS action, a testament to the midfielder’s abilities.
And with Brighton set to land Gomez, the youngster could not be joining a more suitable club to aid his development than the Seagulls, who have shown they can transform relatively unknown players into superstars.
