An Inter Miami player is reportedly set to confirm his move to the Premier League later today with a transfer fully agreed on.
The Herons have seen one of their star names linked with a move to England for quite some time, with Brighton & Hove Albion and West Ham both chasing the player in question since the start of the summer transfer window.
With Inter Miami had receiving a club-record fee for the player, it has always felt like it was a matter of time before a deal was fully agreed with the Premier League side over the Herons star.
And that time has seemingly come at last this week.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Brighton are set to complete the signing of Diego Gomez today, with Inter Miami to receive as much as £10m ($13m) for the Paraguay international, though 50% of the fee will end up going to the midfielder’s former side, Club Libertad.
Romano wrote on Twitter: “Brighton are set to complete Diego Gomez move today as Inter Miami have accepted fee in excess of £10m for the Paraguayan talent. Clubs expected to get deal signed and sealed this week.”
With Gomez currently away at the Olympics, Inter Miami fans will be hopeful that there is an agreement in place for the midfielder to return to Chase Stadium to finish off the 2024 MLS season, with the Herons looking like favorites to win MLS Cup and the Supporters’ Shield.
Indeed, Gomez has been one of Inter Miami’s best players this year, and in moving to Brighton, the Florida franchise have been proven right in their initial move to sign the Paraguay international and to develop him before selling to Europe for a big profit.
