Paul Pogba and David Beckham could soon reunite at Inter Miami.
The pair met back in 2021 while the Frenchman was playing for Manchester United – where Beckham became a household name in football across 391 appearances – and seemed to enjoy each other’s company.
Pogba returned to Juventus in 2022 before being slapped with a four-year ban in September 2023 for failing a drug test, which was recently reduced to 18 months, meaning he can resume his career from January 2025.
There were rumours that the France international was training with Manchester United to rebuild his fitness, but interestingly, the reliable Fabrizio Romano quashed this speculation, claiming that the 31-year-old is actually training on a “daily basis” in Miami.
Pogba is believed to have an offer on the table from Inter Miami as he prepares to make a decision on his next club – so let’s take a look at what he said after meeting David Beckham in 2021.
What Paul Pogba said about David Beckham
The man born in Lagny-sur-Marne is clearly a fan of the Inter Miami owner, as he wrote “too much sauce” on Instagram after meeting the 49-year-old.
That meeting actually came whilst Pogba was training in Miami, so that part of the globe is clearly a favourite of the Frenchman’s – suggesting he would jump at the chance to join Beckham and Lionel Messi in Major League Soccer.
What shirt number Paul Pogba could wear at Inter Miami
If Beckham can lure Pogba to Inter Miami in 2025, a range of attractive shirt numbers are available to the 2018 World Cup winner.
The free agent could choose to take the No.4 shirt – a jersey made famous by several midfielders such as Cesc Fabregas and Patrick Vieira.

Pogba could also ask to take the No.42 shirt – which he wore while rising to stardom in the Manchester United academy – from Yannick Bright.
Unfortunately for the Frenchman, the No.10 strip – which he wore in both of his stints at Juventus – is obviously taken by Messi, so he will have to forgo that shirt if he does sign a contract with Inter Miami.
