Inter Miami fans must be used to stellar names being linked to their club by now.

David Beckham is said to be eyeing Paul Pogba after Juventus terminated the Frenchman’s contract, with the Inter Miami owner keen to add more elite footballers to the likes of Lionel Messi, Jordi Alba, Luis Suarez and Sergio Busquets.

Pogba has previously met with Beckham in Miami – so a move doesn’t seem impossible by any means.

Inter Miami have also been linked with Neymar after his struggles in Saudi Arabia – a player Gianluigi Buffon has now made a very bold claim about.

Gianluigi Buffon says Neymar should have five Ballon d’Ors

When speaking to Corriere della Sera, the legendary Italian goalkeeper described the Brazilian as the best footballer he’s ever played with.

Buffon said: “The best player I’ve played with… I’d say Neymar Jr. In my opinion, he deserved to win five Ballon d’Or titles. I had the chance to share the pitch with Zidane, Ronaldo, Messi and more… but Ney was really special guy and player.”

Neymar and Buffon shared a pitch on 13 occasions during their time together at PSG – winning 11 and drawing one of those games.

Unfortunately, it does not seem as if the South American will be coming to Miami anytime soon.

Inter Miami set to miss out on Neymar to Santos

The latest update on the 32-year-old will not please the majority of Inter Miami supporters.

An update from Cesar Luis Merlo claims that Neymar will return to Santos – the Brazil international’s first professional club – with discussions currently ongoing in regards to terminating his contract at Al Hilal.

So, it would seem the man born in Mogi das Cruzes will not be making the move to Miami in 2025, which will undoubtedly disappoint those who hoped to see the famous MSN trident of Messi, Suarez and Neymar reunited.
