Lionel Messi’s impact is not only felt on the pitch, with the Argentine also having a huge role in Inter Miami’s transfer ambitions.
Recent signing Fafa Picault is a huge fan of Messi, which could have been a key factor in the 33-year-old’s decision to join Miami over Austin FC.
Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba meanwhile, both joined the Herons from FC Barcelona, with Messi undoubtedly playing a huge part in their Vice City moves.
With that being said, the eight-time Ballon d’Or winner could soon again help Javier Mascherano bag yet another signing – as Tadeo Allende nears a move to Inter Miami.

Tadeo Allende’s is a huge Lionel Messi fan
Leo Campana’s New England Revolution transfer has left a gaping hole in the Inter Miami frontline heading into the 2025 season.
Having impressed back in his native Argentina, Allende could potentially fill the void left by Campana, with Herons boss Mascherano said to have already given the move the green light.
With Celta Vigo happy to do business, all it will now take is a ‘yes’ from Allende and if the 25-year-old’s past quotes are anything to go by, he will jump at the chance of playing with Messi.
Speaking in 2023, the La Liga star revealed his dream of meeting the Barcelona legend (via AS).
“I dream of meeting Messi. I would give anything to be at least in a practice with him or sit down to have some mates.”
Allende could play alongside Messi in Inter Miami forward line
Picault’s Inter Miami transfer and Allende’s pending arrival means Mascherano has a lot more forward options to think about in 2025.
With the striker and right-wing positions often locked down by Luis Suarez and Messi, the Herons head coach will have to start thinking about who will start on the left-hand flank.
Luckily for him, both Allende and Picault have experience playing in that position.

Allende who is eight years younger than Picualt, could provide the Vice City team with a more youthful option going forward – something that could complement the ageing Messi and Suarez well.
