Report: David Beckham could make ambitious move to sign Mohamed Salah, as Inter Miami monitor Liverpool contract situation

Inter Miami have been no stranger to signing superstars since the club’s inception in 2018.

Gonzalo Higuain was the first big name to arrive at the Chase Stadium, with the greats such as Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez joining in more recent times.

The Inter Miami owners, however, are seemingly keen on adding more soccer superstars to their already stacked roster, with Neymar attracting strong interest from the Herons.

Manchester City’s Kevin de Bruyne is also on Inter Miami’s radar, with MLS newcomers San Diego FC also in the race to sign the Belgian.

David Beckham though is now seemingly turning his attention to another Premier League star – namely Mohamed Salah.

Inter Miami monitoring Mo Salah’s Liverpool future

It was first reported back in December that Inter Miami were in the race to sign Salah as a free agent in 2025.

Still yet to put pen to paper on a new Liverpool deal, Salah’s future at the Reds still remains uncertain.

CaughtOffisde claim that the 32-year-old is attracting interest from Saudi Arabia with Steven Gerrard’s Al-Ettifaq reportedly front runners to sign the Egyptian when his Liverpool deal expires.

The report also claims however that Inter Miami ‘want to be kept abreast of developments’, suggesting Beckham and co may be planning a late move for the Premier League star.

Salah is a huge fan of Inter Miami’s Lionel Messi

With soccer giants like FC Barcelona and Juventus also said to be interested in Salah, it will no doubt be a very tough signing for Inter Miami to pull off.

There may however be a way of doing so, with Messi potentially holding the key.

Salah is reportedly a big fan of the Inter Miami star and could be tempted by the chance to play with the eight-time Ballon d’Or winner.

Speaking to ESPN in 2024, Salah was questioned on who is his favorite Argentine player barring Liverpool teammate Alexis Mcallister.

“[Lionel] Messi. I love Messi. He is. Messi is Messi; I love [Gabriel] Batistuta as well, I met him once in Argentina and got his t-shirt signed, but yeah, I love Messi.”
